I sit at gate C9 at McCarran International Airport, resting my bruised feet and leg, with no regrets. This was my second Vegas, and my third EVE event in total, and it didn't disappoint.
EVE Vegas 2019 was an absolute blast for all involved and I need to name and thank some individuals who stand out as those who made it all possible.

------
Shoutouts

@Graydor - Uncle Bean who opened his home to welcome each and everyone of us for a super chill BBQ get-together stretching late into the night, prepping endless food and entertainment. Thank you so much to him and his family! (yes I'm including all the wondeful weiner dogs)

@Alcoholic Satan - Thank you for rallying the beans yet again this year, and being Graydor's Assistant Producer of Festivities.

@Theqwert125 - For keeping the NBI brain on during our talks, for being a cat herder, and for pushing to get a girthy form for Penn & Teller.............. just to get blueballed at the last minute. You worked hard to make sure we had the numbers and the content. It doesn't go unappreciated!

@Dylana Aivo - Who else but the swag queen to bring the A-game? On top of the energy you bring to our group, as far as I'm concerned, Horde had the best swag of the show again this year, and it's your literal physical and mental effort that makes it happen. boggers and thank you!

@Keleios Shizaru - And holy crap, from out of left field, a hot drop of even more swag! People couldn't believe how Horde pulled no punches and gave out free battery packs? USB drives?? Bluetooth earpods?! Not to mention the special delivery just for BFL. Thank you, you knocked it out of the park.

@Joplin IV Thorne - A new face to Horde who delivered arguably The Best Swag of the whole trip: handmade Scootypuff Bean hats! I... I am still upset I didn't end up leaving with one. Thank you!!

@Michdelle Arnoux - Recipient of the "Dude Are You Sure You're Ok" Award. We're glad you didn't whelp!

@Jinto Lafiel - For representing Horde in the invasion tournament, along with Michdelle. You did good, even if you did whelp!

@JohnnyCashRules - Alcohol. Like, dude what the fuck.

@Kai'ne Sicturus - Our new favorite fascist, for bringing Secret Hitler, the game of the weekend.

@Jordan Clarksonton - OUR FANFEST TICKET WINNER!

And @Gobbins - for leading our beans this weekend. And reminding me to write this message!

Feel free to post your own recaps and photos you'd like to share from the trip.

Health and vision issues kept me from attending. Thank you to those that contributed and help with this community at EvE fest and every day of the year.

Ever since my first Eve Vegas 2 years ago, I wanted to see "Pandemic Horde" up on the screen during CCP's Welcome To Eve Vegas presentation before the keynote that includes the top 10 representing groups from Eve. Last year, I set out with the goal of beating Horde's numbers that showed up during Fanfest (which I think was either 20 something or 30 something), and we ended up getting ~45 dudes to come, and it was an absolute blast. Unfortunately, we still didn't make it onto the top 10 groups that showed up.

During Horde's "Final Supper" if you will at last year's Vegas, Kalbuir had given a speech about how important community is inside of this game, and how people like myself were important to getting people to come out to these events, hyping the event up, making people feel included and making friends with each other, so on and so forth. I've been in this alliance since my 2nd week in this game, and I've absolutely loved every minute of it.

This year, I got off to a late start with the hype train because I didn't realize that Vegas tickets were going on sale earlier than normal this year due to the lack of Iceland Fanfest. I ended up reminder pinging that Vegas tickets were going on sale like 3 days before tickets actually went on sale, and I was actually super worried that our numbers were going to suffer due to the lack of warning about when tickets were going on sale, as the later you wait to buy them, the more expensive they are which off puts a lot of people from buying them.

My first panic ping :grimace:

Throughout late spring and early summer, we had topped off at like 30-40 people going to Vegas, and I had accepted the fact that we probably weren't going to do much better than that. However, what I wasn't expecting were all the new corps such as Sm3ll, Sturmgrenedier, and Busa showing up in force to help represent Pandemic Horde. Also, once a lot of the new corps got acclimated and people in regular horde started to figure out if they'd have enough money/approved time off in time for Vegas, our numbers shot up to around 80 people or so! This got me absolutely hyped as fuck, I won't lie. I was also really excited to meet a lot of new people that I had been talking to for years, like @Dagon Crow and @Volzir .

So, fast forward to Eve Vegas. On Wednesday, we started off slow with a bunch of us crashing in @JohnnyCashRules for a bit getting to know a lot of the new faces, and then we went over to Bacchanal over at Caesars and it finally set in how many people we had going when we had 3 different groups of people sitting at different tables within the buffet for 1 reason or another.

On Thursday, wooh fucking lad. Shoutout to @Kai'ne Sicturus for bringing secret hitler to the Horde BBQ and to everyone's rooms during Vegas. It's such a fun game, and my only regret is we didn't get any pictures of people yelling at each other and Gobbins pointing at people and yelling at them calling them Fascists. Once again shout out to my honorary Vegas Dad @Graydor for hosting the BBQ at your house. It's the thing I look forward to the most every year and you spared no expense this year. We had pork butts, ribs, pulled pork, mac n cheese, hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, dips, salsas, desserts, a fucking taco guy, DJ/karaoke, face painting, and your brand new pool to unwind in.

Fogo on Friday was awesome this year. I got to spend a lot of time talking with @Aegaeonos about stuff, and got to sit next to the wonderful uber krab @Dagon Crow who I was extremely excited to finally meet. Fogo is always a wonderful experience, EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT THEY DIDN'T SERVE US BACON WRAPPED FILET THIS YEAR! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK I'M SO UPSET ABOUT IT STILL!!!! It was a little weird though as we didn't take our annual Fogo PANFAM picture, and there was no Jaymere to give the annual speech :( I ended up staying out way too fucking late on Friday and ended up crashing in @Kai'ne Sicturus room/bed (cuddling was great) and ended up getting almost no sleep. I was completely dead and running on fumes all day on Saturday.

Based @Qymm Phyton and I at least got to spend a bit of time together and she kept me going by going to some of the round tables with myself which ended up not being all that great, though we did try out Eve Echoes together and tried to PVP the other nerds that were at the table. The fittings on the ships were fun to mess around with though, as we discovered that you couldn't actually fit any missiles to the Caracle, lmfao. Thankfully, Graydor took me back to his place and I tried to nap for a bit to no avail. So, I drank some Monster and rallied right before Omnia where I proceeded to get fucking obliterated with as many free drinks as humanly possible in a 2 or 3 hour period before the open bar ended and some people unfortunately discovered that drinks were like 20 bucks a pop from the bar. Once the private party ended though and we were allowed into the main Omnia dance area/dance room. Holy. Fucking. Shit. Omnia is beautiful. It's an amazing club, and I had a lot of fun dancing for like an hour or so with @Tytalus Warden while watching CCP Hilmar almost get into a fight with 2 different groups of people. You ever watch the NBA and see how high those dudes can jump? I think CCP Hilmar could give them a run for their money.

After Omnia, @Tytalus Warden and I spent some time recuperating at Wahlburgers. The rest of Sunday was basically just a recuperation day and we ended up spending some time taking our PANFAM picture, going to the closing ceremony where PANFAM won a majority of the prizes, going to dinner with each other whether it be at the Tilted Kilt or at Gordon Ramsay's, and then I accidentally made a ~super secret BFL wine meeting~ public at @Gareth Jax and @Dahntat Esubria 's room, that Sort Dragon ended up crashing with a bunch of PL dudes, lmfao. Whoops.

On Monday, we spent most of the day at Graydors (the few people who were left) talking and shooting the shit while waiting for people's flights. I feel so bad for you @Cmdr Stargazer for the journey you had to take on the way home in the snow. Bless you. To end the Monday Festivities and finally put my Vegas to a close, @Volzir and I headed over to Battlefield Vegas to go shoot some freedom.

I also got to spend a lot more time than usual with the PL dudes, including the infamous Mukk Barovian.

So, for some final shout outs and thank yous:

God bless @Entriri Crendraven the amazing bartender for keeping drinks flowing at the BBQ and at peoples rooms. It's always a joy to hang out with you my guy.

Once again thank you @JohnnyCashRules for supplying copious amounts of alcohol and for being such a fun dude to hang out with and for letting us crash in your room so much, lol.

To @Michdelle Arnoux and @Jinto Lafiel I always enjoy the conversations that we have at Vegas.

To @Dylana Aivo for supplying a bunch of swag and coming through with those amazing challenge coins.

To @Joplin IV Thorne to the really cool Horde hat that I enjoyed wearing so much despite getting some weird looks while on the casino floor, though one of the pit bosses actually complemented me on it and asked if I had any more so he could wear one, lol.

@TheHeir Your jokes and memes are trash my guy.

There were also just a lot of other amazing people that I got to hang out, meet, and spend time with such as @Kithran, @Jessica Iritan, @William Pierce, @Theqwert125, @ScipioAemilianus, @Svreja Bjokor, @FullBoat, @Dexster916 and many many more. There's literally too many to name. I tried my hardest to meet everyone that went with constantly putting out pings to get people involved and to meet up places.

Lastly...

WE FUCKING DID IT! PANDEMIC HORDE WAS 3RD IN TERMS OF TOTAL AMOUNT OF PEOPLE COMING TO VEGAS AND REPRESENTING THEM THIS YEAR!!!!

I was super nervous to go to Vegas and meet everyone, turned out to be fantastic and was super bummed Monday to be headed home.

Battlefield Vegas was a hell of a way to end the weekend though!

As Natalia and I sat and drank coffee in the back yard. Staring at the beautiful Keepstar that @Jinto Lafiel made for us. It still brings a tear to my eyes that something so effortless as opening a door and saying "Welcome to our home" has become such a big part of everyone's plans. From @Kalbuir Skirate giving me my Pandemic Chef Apron at PanFam BBQ #2. I tried to talk to everyone who showed up at the BBQ to say Thank you for coming and Thank you for being a part of my online family. We even had 2 members from CCP show up this year and eat some food and talk to anyone who wanted to say hi. Oh and I had also invited the Space Pope and he decided at the last second to go to the Axe Throwing Event, which he told me later was a mistake and that he will be coming to any Panfam BBQ's we are throwing in the future. I had so much fun hanging out and even though most everyone didn't get there karaoke on. I know a couple of peeps took full advantage of it!!! I still find myself completely blessed that I am associated with so many great people through playing a video game. I count everyone as a friend and if you ever are coming in to Vegas please drop a line and say hi.....I will probably have some meat on the grill and enough of it to share. I will leave you all with this link of what I have named as the Panfam BBQ Keepstar -

Thank you all for a great week of fun and we will be having another EveVegas next year.... stay tuned for the dates!!!!!!

ps ...At the last count at 742 pm there were 110 people in our back yard!!!
